New angel

After much work, the picture now looks like this. I completely changed the flying angel. Previously I had used a statue of a flying putto as a model. I thought it was unnatural and didn't fit in at all with the other two angels. I found a picture of my baby swimming in the archives and used that as a starting point. The figure is like a portrait of my son as a baby, but I added curls and wings to make it look like an angel. I would also need a model for the blessing hand.

Now the end result is about what I want. There's still work to be done on the wings, for example, which are supposed to be the wings of a sparrow. However, the light is starting to settle in. This work is due to be exhibited in the gallery of the Helsinki Art Lending agency in the autumn.
